Bahrain Climate

Summer time in Bahrain is considered to be a rather unpleasant experience, with high levels of both temperatures and humidity. Between May and October midday temperatures usually range between 90 °F (32 °C) and 95 °F, and occasionally even higher, humidity and sultriness being the dominating features of summer nights.

Summer in Bahrain is unpleasant, as high temperatures frequently coincide with high. In sharp contrast, winters enjoy a cooler and more pleasant kind of weather, with mean temperatures from December to March dipping to 70 °F (21 °C). Rainfall is both sparse and scarce, almost exclusively associated with the winter seasons and averaging only 3 inches (75 mm) per year. However rainfalls in Bahrain are extremely unpredictable in nature, and can vary from almost nothing to double the above mentioned amount. On average though Bahrain experiences only about 1o days of rainfall per year, while there is an abundant supply of sunshine through out the year. The damp, northwesterly wind locally known as shamāl is the predominant wind in Bahrain, while the hot, dry and southerly qaws although less frequent in appearance bring sand, dust and low humidity to the island.
